Don’t screenshot the pack. Produce the call.
Maps, reviews, and service pages should produce calls and visits — not a framed rank. The pin is a door. If nobody walks through, you do not have local SEO. You have a picture of it.
Two reports
Same pin. Different proof.
Tap a report. One hangs a rank on the wall. The other lists who actually rang.
04 · Call
The result is a ringing phone.
Track the tap-to-call, the direction, the booked visit. Rank without those events is vanity you can hang in the lobby. Leads are what the pin is for.

A screenshot of the pack is not a local strategy.
Teams celebrate a Maps three-pack the way they used to celebrate a blue link. The pack is a shelf. If the hours are wrong, the reviews are stale, and the click lands on a homepage, the stranger in the car keeps scrolling. You still have the screenshot. You do not have the job.
We treat local as a lead system: identity that Google can trust, pages that can take the neighbourhood query, reviews that answer last month’s objection, and a number that a human picks up.
Produce calls and visits, not screenshots.
Every pin is a door. Most of them dump to the lobby.
GBP is the sign on the street. The service page is the room they enter. Reviews are the neighbour they ask. NAP is whether the building is actually yours. If those four disagree, Maps will still show you — and send the click somewhere that cannot convert.
Fix the door before you buy more of the query. Rank climbs that dump traffic into a brochure are just a more expensive screenshot.
Measure the ring, then you may care about the pack.
Tap-to-call, direction requests, booked visits from the local page. Those are the events. Position is a lagging picture of whether those events already happen.

Street doors
Four ways in. One that converts.
Tap a door. Each can look healthy in Search Console. Only one set produces a stranger who actually arrives.
Lead events
What already rings?
Tick the events that are true this month. The handset fills when the pin can take a stranger — not when the pack looks pretty.

Share the live Maps listing and last month’s calls. We’ll tell you which door dumps strangers — before anyone frames another screenshot.
