More budget on a leaking path is not a strategy.
Teams raise spend because the dashboard looks quiet. Quiet often means the click already died on a homepage, a slow form, or a thank-you page that creates no record. The auction did its job. The funnel did not.
We treat paid media as a stress test of the destination. If CPA climbs when you add budget, the first question is not creative. It is whether the page can hold a stranger who already said yes to the ad.
You cannot scale a leak. You can only invoice it faster.
Holding traffic is a landing system, not a hero image.
Match the promise. One primary ask. Proof next to the ask. A form or checkout that writes somewhere sales will actually look. Speed that does not punish mobile. That is the hold — unglamorous, and the only thing that makes the next rupee of media honest.
CRO without a named conversion is decoration. Analytics without a source on the lead is weather. Both belong in the same brief as the campaign.
Scale spend only on the path that already converts.
Once the chambers hold, buying more of the same query is rational. Until then, pause the expansion. Fix the landing, the handoff, the event — then reopen the tap.
Related under Scale: Google Ads and Meta Ads for the auction, CRO for the hold, Analytics so the leak is visible.
